The “Hottest Swatch Book in the Industry” Wins 2015 Gold Ink Award
(Chesapeake, VA – August 25, 2015) – YUPO Paper Corp. has been recognized with a Gold award in the printing industry’s most prestigious competition. Yupo’s 2015 Swatch Book, or samples catalog, took top honors in the “Commercial Printing, Business Catalogs, Sheetfed” category in the 28th annual Gold Ink Awards.
“Naturally we’re proud of the finished product and honored it was so recognized by the Gold Ink judges,” said Bill Hewitt, marketing manager of YUPO. “Our thanks goes to everyone who was involved in this project and who shares in the award.”
Presented by Printing Impressions magazine, the Gold Ink Awards recognizes the best in printed products in six major categories: Commercial Printing, Books, Catalogs, Magazines, Digital Printing and Packaging. Printers from around the world submit thousands of entries each year seeking to be judged by industry peers for gorgeous craftsmanship.
Mark T. Michelson, editorial director/editor-in-chief of Printing Impressions magazine, announced on Aug. 14 that Yupo’s entry, the “Hottest Swatch Book in the Industry,” received the Gold Award honor along with the book’s printer, Classic Color of Broadview, IL. The book was designed by O’Brien et al. Advertising in Virginia Beach, Va.
The formal award will be presented at the Gold Ink Gala held during GRAPH EXPO 2015 in Chicago on September 13, 2015. YUPO’s winning piece will be showcased during a multimedia presentation at the awards gala as well as featured in an upcoming issue of Printing Impressions magazine and GoldInk.com.
